Jammu: Thakur Yashwant Singh Pathania, State President of Akhil Bharatiya Kshatriya Mahasabha (J&K), has urged the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to actively participate in the upcoming elections. He emphasized that the active involvement of the youth is essential for forming a transparent and just government, which can shape a better future for the state. Pathania said, "This is the time for us all to exercise our voting rights wisely and contribute to building a better government and future." He motivated the youth by saying that involvement in politics and social activities would not only provide career opportunities but also help in making Jammu and Kashmir a more prosperous and progressive state.
Pathania also stressed the importance of digital awareness, stating that the youth should be well-versed in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital technologies. "There is a strong need for digital awareness to prevent the rising cyber crimes in our country and to increase productivity," he said. He also appealed to the youth to join Akhil Bharatiya Kshatriya Mahasabha, a non-political organization and one of the oldest and largest organizations in India, established in 1897. "Young individuals can join our organization as volunteers or active members (office bearers) and play their part in the upliftment of society," he added.
Thakur Yashwant Singh Pathania mentioned his educational background, sharing that he completed his schooling from Army Public School Kaluchak and graduated with a degree in IT Engineering from Jammu University. He is a national sports medalist and was also an NCC cadet. He encouraged the youth to actively participate in sports.
Additionally, Pathania highlighted his experience in engineering, working for various IT companies, dealing with international clients, and conducting global research. He concluded that this era belongs to technology, and those who fail to adapt to it will be left behind. He emphasized that technological knowledge is crucial for growth in any career.
Pathania further outlined his key objectives, which include empowering the youth, transforming Jammu into an IT hub, providing free education up to post-graduation, drug addiction recovery and rehabilitation for the youth, free medical facilities for senior citizens aged 60 and above, establishing animal shelters and hospitals, supporting families dealing with depression and suicide victims, ensuring women’s safety so they feel secure in Jammu and Kashmir, and preserving the culture and heritage of the region. He also emphasized the importance of setting up cow shelters (Gaushalas) and engaging in other social work.
In conclusion, Pathania urged the youth to recognize their rights and responsibilities, actively participate in politics and social activities, and contribute to building a brighter future for Jammu and Kashmir.
